Being a newbie in the sewing world, I went around looking for information on which type of sewing machine that could mould me into one of the greatest sewers of all time. Most of my friends recommended me to the Brother CS5055PRW Limited Project Runway Sewing Machine with 50 Built-in-Stitches. I didn’t really know why they were advocating so much for it until I acquired one. The features and tools that came with it amazed me so much. It came with clear and easy to understand manuals that helped me so much in my initial projects.
Some of the notable features that I fell in love with are: – it came with 50 different types of sewing stitches and 87 functions. Some of the functions are heirloom stitch function, decorative stitch function, quilting stitch function and garment stitch function. It has a chart which shows the different type of stitches laid in front of you making your selection of stitches a bit easy. I was amazed when it came with vertical spool which helps in ensuring consistence in feeding special type of stitches like the metallic stitch and to my understanding this feature is found in some of the most expensive sewing machines. It has a quick set top bobbin which comes in handy for basic sewers like me. Is also comes with an automatic needle threader which makes threading work comparable to baby class stuff. I found it easy to move around with it, as it comes with a handle and light weight nature. Its bright LED helped illuminate my work area and came in very handy when sewing dark fabrics. It also came with twin needles which really made my work easier when sewing parallel rows of stitches. It also has 5 one-step custom sized buttonholes which provide diversity when making button holes for array designer clothes. Its exceptional feed system helped me so much when it came to sewing different stitches on different fabric types. Lastly its drop feed for free-motion quilting proved the worth of the sewing machine by handling free-motion quilting with the utmost ease.
